Title: Recommendations: Good Aussie PC suppliers
Post by: Lias on January 24, 2013, 07:49:07 am
One of my mates is living in Perth and want's to buy himself a new gaming rig. He has no idea what companies over there are good to deal with and trust worthy.

So dear Aussies who come here, what's the Aussie answer to Computer Lounge?

Lisa

Prob these guys tbh http://www.ple.com.au/  They are a little bit more expensive then pc case gear (who are based melbs), But deal direct with the manufacturers for warranty rma etc and can also get specialist gear if not listed on the website (23" 120hz Samsung Monitor). I have spent a fair bit of coin with them now and not dramas unlike my RMA Evga 680 that was shipped back to the states with PCCG.

Also http://www.austin.net.au/ but they seem like Muppets and cater for the corporate rip off crowd more then enthusiasts.

Edit: Is he going to build the rig himself? Or get a prebuilt system?

Prebuilt, hes a concrete layer by trade and has about as much IT knowledge as the average concrete layer :-)

Fair enough, One of the gaming systems then with a Upgraded cpu cooler should do the trick for him. It get's stinking hot for a gaming rig in Perth unless your ravaging the aircon....
