Hold the phone.

I thought this was going to be a PS4 release?

Why build this game around ancient tech?

Probably 'cause they would've been working on this well before the next gen consoles were announced. No doubt it'll eventually make it's way to the new consoles and eventually PC..

I have never really enjoyed the 3D GTA series.

For me the last real GTA was GTA2.

In saying this.

I WILL BE BUYING THIS; even if it is only just to play the stock market. kekekeke

It looks like a GTA MMO. Shame its limited to 16 players online at once.

Meh will pirate it or wait till $10 steam sale.

Refuse to throw money at any studio that doesn't put PC gaming as its first (if not only) priority.

The reason they probably don't put PC gaming first is because dicks like you will pirate it or wait till $10 steam sale.

Makes sense they'll put console first, better business.

By the simple nature of the platform, console games are dumbed down and thus not as good as they could have been if they were PC exclusive. It all depends if they want to be a company that makes the most money, or a company that makes quality games.  The former requires a focus on consoles, the latter on PC's. They chose to focus on consoles, showing that all they care about is the money. I choose to not reward that decision.

Exactly.

Game developers should all work for a loss. They should fund their work by prostitution.

Where's the passion these days.

The new consoles will eventually help wipe out the need for programming to the older platform. an x86 based system with built in digital rights management. This will be like having a console with the only access to games is via a login to either Origin, Steam, uplay or whatever other crazy DRM platforms pop up from developers.

PCs are already at the point where you don't bother having an optical drive. Just Download from the DRM store you want to purchase from.

Bring on GTA V for PC and let us use our serious gaming computers for games.

There are plenty of great console exclusive games which go against your argument. Red Dead Redemption has a beautiful open sandbox in both single player and multiplayer. The Last of Us has a single player campaign which is better than any PC game I've played. Infamous 2, another great sandbox game, has a great mission editor with seamless access to user made content that I haven't seem in any PC games. Speaking of editing tools, Little Big Planet 1 & 2 have the easiest tools to use, and has the largest amount and most diverse user made content of any game I've played.

Just because consoles have more limitations than PCs does not mean games are automatically "dumbed down" and just because consoles have a bigger market doesn't mean developers are just chasing the greens.

For some reason I always remember GTA 1 & 2 for the consoles. GTA3 and Vice city for PC. Then San andreas for PS2.

What's rock stars history with platform releases again? ie initial release console only from San Andreas on is it?

Well, the last game they released was Red Dead Redemption, which hasn't been ported to PC. GTA4 was about 6 months until it came to PC, if I remember correctly.

GTA: London was the best.
