Did not read.

Couldn't get past the stereotyping of "pizza boxes and energy drinks" coupled with descriptors like "geeks".

How about you report on the event, not spend the first opening paragraphs continuing to perpetuate and lambast the people who take part in it.

I've never read an article about rugby where it starts "all that was left was Stienlager cans and bruised wives" after an All Black match.

I skim read it. You would think after all these years they could put up a decent article on gaming, guess not :( articles like this need to be written by gamers.

Because of piracy, most games today need to be authenticated, so having a fast connection is really important

Umm, its because of piracy (not authentication) that LANs have fast internet, pal.

The funding issue could also prove to be an interesting one since only last week Dotcom announced that he’s “officially broke”. Despite having earned $40 million since his assets were seized back in 2012, Dotcom says his luxury lifestyle and hefty legal bills have swallowed it all up.

Title of the link was enough for me. Didn't even click it.

Good to hear it was basically 100% predictable.
