I've just got myself a 144Hz monitor and now I need to beef up my GFX and probably my memory.
Currently Ive got:
Mobo: GA-Z68XP-UD4
CPU i5 2500k 3.3Ghz
Gfx: ATI 6950 2Gb
RAM: 8Gb DD3 1600Mhz
SSD: Samsung 840 Evo 250GB
OS: Win 7 Pro
Just bought a AOC G2460PQU 144HZ 24" monitor
Upon checking the specs for my mobo on gigabytes website it is compatible with up to 2133Mhz, so I take it it would be best to get as fast as I'm able to? If so was checking pricespy and saw these two as popular choices:

In terms of graphics card upgrade, what sort of card will push my fps up to where it needs to be? and what kind of fps should I be looking to get to? I currently get 40fps in BF4 on high settings and 60fps on low. Is it my system RAM, video RAM or both that is holding me back?
As you can see I did soooo much research spending my Christmas money buying a new monitor. Though first impressions it looks pretty nice.

Changing to faster RAM will only make a tiny difference.
BF4 is quite CPU intensive, and GPu intensive.
OC your 2500K, it should reach 4.3-4.5ghz easy.
Get a second hand R290 or R290X off Tardme/GPforums

OK, I'll look into that, I've never overclocked anything before, can you point me to a good step by step guide?

Lias is on to it... just grab yourself a nice AIO Watercooler such as Corsair Hydro Series™ H80i High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler, and overclock your CPU and replace your GPU and you should be fine. Either something AMD or shell out a few more $$ and grab a Nvidia 970
This might help in the overclocking front: http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/cpus/2011/01/07/how-to-overclock-the-intel-core-i5-2500k/1 (http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/cpus/2011/01/07/how-to-overclock-the-intel-core-i5-2500k/1)

What are you doing with your old stuff, i'm looking for a graphics card.

I'd probably sell off my old card once I get it upgraded, but it will take me a while to save up enough to get a new card. I currently have a Coolermaster V6GT cooler on my CPU, would that be enough cooling to overclock it? As purchasing anything will be about 3 or 4 weeks away.
