"The only thing interesting about any of these theories, is that people are willing to believe almost anyone who has a contrary opinion to the sources of authority they already distrust" - A senior unnamed Taliban official said.

I guess you could consider Messi to be marginally OK at football, if you were generous.

Still though, Barca, and for that matter, Real - what a horrible fucking match of football. This is exactly why people that don't like it, will never like it. Diving, cheating, embarrassing shit from both sides. Jesus, turns you off the game a bit eh.

I hope Man U fucking rape them.

I fucking hate Man U.

a) What are the 3-4 players that should go IYO?
b) Who were the high profiles sold?
c) To which midget do you refer?

a) Denilson, Clichy, Alumnia, Arshavin and possibly Bendtner and/or Diaby. The whole team though, need to fucking wake up.
b) Toure and Adebayor (for a total, if I recall, of 30-35 Mil)
c) We do gots a lot, yo - Arshavin

That said, while those players I wouldn't be sad to see leave - the issue isn't just buying new players. Our issue is a psychological , training and tactical one. In fact, should be get those things sorted then I would be happy with just Denilson and Almunia leaving and a quality DM and leftback coming in.

Would any other club in world football, play a tiny little midget as a number 9?

This year was the year for me.

I think most Arse Fans knew chances for trophies would be tight for 2-4 years, when we dismantled the team and moved to Ashburton Grove. That has been done, and so from that perspective, while keeping the operating costs of the club in the black, and servicing the debt beyond the requirements AS WELL as continually qualifying for the Champions League with the team we've had is a stand out fucking job. We even challenged in 2007/2008, and have had two Carling Cup finals, a few CL semi's and some decent FA cup runs along the way - DESPITE the Manager acknowledging we probably didn't have the quality or depth in the first team to compete on all fronts. So much of that has been done with quite a few reserve team players making names, and careers (in or out of the club) for themselves.

All of that is excellent, and I seriously doubt many other managers could've done the same all things considered.

Last year though, the club made decent bucks from selling two of it's high-profile players. Some of that, I'm sure, went to service debt, and some of that went on a couple of new players. Despite the money not going to positions where most fans thought we needed to strengthen. We were still, for large amounts of the season playing Almunia in goal for instance, and that cost us points. We were, at one point too, playing without enough backup at Centreback, and the quality of the CB's themselves weren't up to scratch. We didn't and still don't have decent cover at DM, or even better, a super-quality DM. Many of those things have cost us.

Now, we're left with young players on high wages who have benefited from the belief and trust placed in them by the Manager. Some of those players clearly don't deserve that trust, and despite what he says in public - I'm sure (I hope) that he'll be working on getting those that have underperformed out of the club. Regardless, this really was the season where we should've done more - if anything though, we appear to have stalled, or gone backwards. Tactics are static, Defensive mistakes are rife - and the great 'mental strength' we hear so much about is clearly nowhere to be seen.

We've got a bunch of players who have been given everything too early, and now it'd seem some of them don't feel like they need to try - and frankly, if there isn't 3-4 of them gone this summer, that'll be the message management continues to send.

It must be absolutely gutting for him - but yeah, now change either in philosophy, or dare I whisper it, Manager is required. Me - I'd give him one more year. I said that last year though, too.

Title lead? I don't think our title lead faded away. We've been chasing the majority of the season. The lead you talk about, that was, well...yours, wasn't it?

I don't think Arsene will go. God, it's a huge fucking subject - and frankly, you're a horrible twisted bastard so I refuse to discuss it. Hmmf.

I actually thought we played pretty well. The penalty was a terrible goal to concede, but the two before it were screamers - total quality.

I thought Arsenal dominated Liverpool in the midfield, and kept them pretty quiet up front too. Still, there is nothing remotely surprising about Arsenal snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

The only people that don't think Arsenal are a great club, are people with so many extra chromosomes they eat them every morning as cereal, and people from Hull.

Interesting news Re: Arsenal Takeover.

It's impossible not to feel a sense of sadness; regardless of the fact that essentially the club has been in foreign hands for a couple of years now, it's always seemed the plurality of ownership and the long tradition of being owned by English families and fans, for me, was part of the reason for my initial love affair. The last of the 'large' English clubs to be so, really.

I suppose though that this is the modern world, and all that shit. I also suppose than it's better Kronke, than it would be Usmanov. Look at Chelsea, and the hideous puppets they have become. Disgusting stuff, makes you ill really.

Or look at Manchester United, and the inevitable collapse of their club sooner or later. That combined with the strange, subhuman like trolls that attend their matches is as much of a warning as anything that Sugar-Daddy ownership is not always a good thing.

Or lets cast our eyes to the slums of Liverpool, and the strange squeaking goblins that support them and their American owner. Let us hope our lot is not as fatal as theirs, and also, that we never, ever, sound like them.

Well, now we're all whores really. I just hope our fucking is gentle and we get a nice massaged reach-around. That'd appear to be the case. Regardless, I am certain that we will continue to act with the class, dignity and élan that is so noticeably lacking from the three clubs mentioned above. Looking, smelling, sounding, or being like them in anyway would be the real tragedy.

The levels of 'radioactive' Iodine really shouldn't be of concern to anyone, in Glasgow, or indeed, Japan. At the moment.

Nor should consuming any 'radioactive' Squid be of much concern. At the moment.

That made me feel slightly better. It's a shame Adebayor was such a prat, he's good for a header that boy and always scores against Spurs.

Do you mean the Community Shield? If so, then that's played between the winners of the league and the FA Cup.

I watched the Thierry Henry Legend mini-documentary the other day. God, we used to break at pace, with speed on both flanks - so direct, and lethal. And we used to score from distance. All the time. Not very often were there 5000 passes in the build-up, only for the ball to be passed out wide and crossed into a box void of Arsenal players. I don't recall us using our best header of the ball to fire the ball into a box full of midgets either.
