DayZ Alpha, BF4 when I am too bored to even FAP and just installed Total Annihilation last night, more out of curiosity than anything else, the memories soon came flooding back in and four hours later was still playing.

It's community.
Without the NZ servers, the NZ based players are spread over hundreds of Australian based servers. By having a small handful of servers in New Zealand, we have a focal point. It means NZ based players can benefit from being a small gamer community (by international standards) and really enrich our player experience. You stab a random, meh, you stab a well known player you dip and rub it in.
With a strong community, it's almost like a 24/7 LAN. BF2 was exactly that.
Agreed. Connection issues I have experienced are not as a result of Oz servers but usual battlelog lack of testing Low ping is always attractive

It seems I am unable to read PM's I have one in my inbox but clicking on it takes me back to the inbox. Opening in new window or tab just opens another copy of the inbox.

Not bad at all, death comes easy Love the extra details the BF games are known for and spent a lot of the night opening and closing shutters and riding the lifts up and down. I want to unlock C4 so I can do jihad lifts! I wonder if you could throw a claymore in the lift?

^Thats what we went for (our vent was hosted on the GetSome gear).
Teamspeak is an option, but the GetSome one is pretty crowded which makes it a mission to even find your channel You can just short cut to your channel on startup, but I do know what you mean.... can be a bitch trying to find 1 channel amongst the masses!

Vodafone don't seem too interested in us and our liasor has been busy and moved roles in the company so I'm not hopeful of anything. That would be a real shame, I would like to think this community has a future and I for one would be prepared to fight to keep it alive (trolls and all). If Vodafone are not keen then what about one of the other ISP's? I know we have been through a few over the years but there must be one that would like a ready to go community What would be the costs involved in running the forum and gaming servers per month? If Vodafone cut us loose I for one will move back to Orcon for my BB services. I have a few contacts at Vodafone, PM me with who was the liaison and I will see if my limited strings can be pulled?

Could also include a mix mode server with voting, that way those populating it can decide what mode they would like to play, this will also cater for modes or maps not included in the other four.

And I have been online on both steam and origin, even logged in to battlelog when I am sat at my PC. The amount of IM's I have received regarding hackers etc still = 0
Even if I was in game, the chances of me being on #56 is pretty low as I dont like that map :p
Maybe I should sit in the forum refreshing every 5 mins and wait for the posts about the hackers also? It works well on the Oz servers I have played on.

I don't play BF3 much as I am currently engrossed in walking simulator 2013. I am always available when online via steam (which is most nights except date night with the missus).
AFAIK you don't need to play 24/7 to be an admin just be around. Might be a good chance for a refresh DV in preparation for BFFFF.

Does it have an Aircraft Carrier? Fucking Breaking point killed my month old survivor for climbing a ladder on the carrier and falling me through the deck to drown Downloaded this mod, but don't you need to get white-listed or something before you can play?

GetSome has TS channel ( http://www.getsome.co.nz/serverlist.php), there should be a general DayZ one but I hang out in a private clan channel. Look for s8 channel and you will find me.
