How can the leader of a country that is currently killing civilians in at least two other countries be given the Nobel Peace Prize?

These wars are an act of crime. The only way this military industial complex and it's little lillypad lickers can stay the course is with more troops and support. A peace prize to the leader of a country, a country that is nothing more then a war machine should sway enough votes. Remembering that war, no matter how inhumane it is, it is peace.

General Chat / Obama gets the Nobel peace prize

To give a peace prize to the commander-in-chief of a war machine now churning its way through the populations of three countries (Iraq/Af-Pak), with innumerable black ops, lightning raids and drone shots on the side .... to a man who even as we speak is deciding just how he wants to kill even more civilians in Afghanistan and Pakistan ...  a man who has enthusiastically embraced as "an extraordinary achievement" one of the most heinous and barbaric acts of military aggression since Hitler rolled across the border into Poland ... a man who blusters about leaving "all options on the table," including the use of mass-murdering nuclear weapons, to bully other nations into compliance with American wishes ... to give a peace prize to such a man, while all over the world, there are men and women who have devoted their entire lives to non-violence and reconciliation, many of them suffering imprisonment, torture and ruin for their efforts ... well, like I said, it's beyond words.

But it's good to see that the spirit of arms merchant Alfred Nobel -- purveyor and profiteer of death and destruction -- is being honored so perfectly with today's award.

Reminded me of our incident we had about a year ago. Three train trucks tried to cross a floodway. one of them being ours, only 2 days old.

Our truck went in first (A) ended up 100m down stream. 2nd truck went in, prime mover was just off the road (C), 3rd truck came in(B), slamed into the 2nd truck pushing it right off the road and tipping it on it's side.

Few more lightening shots. Didn't manage to get any shots of this spastic low as it approched but fark was it moving!
Not 45mins before the first shot the sky was blue, the cloud in the photo was rolling under itself and the speed
at which it moved was something, it was breath taking.
The second shot literally seconds later we had to run for cover as the sand storm hit. The third is half an hour to hour later,
the strong winds only lasted no more then 15-20mins.
The rain settled and then the lightening show.

Enjoy that thought, even though we may leave this earth one day and inhabit other lands. Genetically, our race is doomed.

Genetic Manipulation.

This throws the weak link thing right out the window.
