Jets were fine in BF2 imo. They should be very powerful, and if both teams have a reasonable pilot in their jets it isn't in issue. Just like if only one team has good infantry the game will be dominated by one team, or a good chopper team on chopper only maps, or armour squads working together.
only in scrims (but I did have cripple on my team which made me feel safer on the ground)
But even in scrims you can get rare examples where airpower is so dominate. I do remember a close game between crex and plus on oman in the first round, But in the second crex pulled of a tank pixel shot at the start of the round to take out both jets, this ended up not allowing any of their jets into the air.
So the whole game was lost due to camping the runway with one jet allowing the other and chopper to stop them moving to attack flags. It was brutal listening to the match. (btw I miss that)
The only reason I put BC2 above BF3 is because of air power. Airpower has always been too powerful, you only have limited ways to take them out but they can destroy anything they want. At least with tanks you can AT them, mine, C4, jihad jeep. Jets can really only be taken out with another jet.
I can just imagine the future of battlefield if we extrapolate the 'progress' they made from BF2 --> BF3:
BF4!!! New Features:
No squads - No need to worry about pesky squadmates again!
[/I]
it already feels like that when you don't have voip. Spamming 'Q' on a support class in your squad to drop ammo, then you use the comma rose, then you have to stop and type it out in squad chat, then you have to start shooting at them and jump up and down in front of them. That's when they finally type "Stop blocking my view"
FU*K!!!! give me some ammo you useless piece of sh*t!
Hiya sloth/ wandy how's tricks? Sigh keep saying this realign bf2 = gold.. Keep it simple 2142 - crap Bbc2 - crap Bf3 - average , to many perks , upgrades etc etc
I actually enjoyed BFBC2... it had no suppression so your gun actually worked when you wanted it to. It also had no OP jets or choppers, because you had the AT4.
I was reading the herald at lunch today and this potentially (or already is) one of the worst nuclear power plant disasters. But one of them in russian the reactor had some kind of explosion and lift the containment roof off. (the roof weighed 160 tons) you don't want to be under it when it landed.
One does not simply walk into Mordor a reactor and flick the switch
ok so how does one 'hit the switch'? say I'm like bored of my nuclear reactor and I want to turn it off and close up shop. How long does it take for it to stop workign and be completely harmless?
Dawkins was a very good talk - it is a shame he only gets judged on his views on religion and that there is an organised christian hate campaign against him
I've only just discovered this dawkins guy, now I'm a massive fan. Its the way he explains things, I wasn't much of a fan of religion before but now after listening to him I can understand even more how ridiculous the whole thing is. I'm trying to track down his god delusion as an audio book.
Ratzinger is the perfect pope "Should Pope Benedict XVI be held responsible for the escalating scandals over clerical sexual abuse in Europe?"
Yes he should, and it's going to escalate a lot further, as more and more victims break through the guilt of their childhood indoctrination and come forward.
"Should he be investigated for how cases of abuse were handled under his watch as archbishop of Munich or as the Vatican's chief doctrinal enforcer?"
Yes, of course he should. This former head of the Inquisition should be arrested the moment he dares to set foot outside his tinpot fiefdom of the Vatican, and he should be tried in an appropriate civil - not ecclesiastical - court. That's what should happen. Sadly, we all know our faith-befuddled governments will be too craven to do it.
"Should the pope resign?"
No. As the College of Cardinals must have recognized when they elected him, he is perfectly - ideally - qualified to lead the Roman Catholic Church. A leering old villain in a frock, who spent decades conspiring behind closed doors for the position he now holds; a man who believes he is infallible and acts the part; a man whose preaching of scientific falsehood is responsible for the deaths of countless AIDS victims in Africa; a man whose first instinct when his priests are caught with their pants down is to cover up the scandal and damn the young victims to silence: in short, exactly the right man for the job. He should not resign, moreover, because he is perfectly positioned to accelerate the downfall of the evil, corrupt organization whose character he fits like a glove, and of which he is the absolute and historically appropriate monarch.
No, Pope Ratzinger should not resign. He should remain in charge of the whole rotten edifice - the whole profiteering, woman-fearing, guilt-gorging, truth-hating, child-raping institution - while it tumbles, amid a stench of incense and a rain of tourist-kitsch sacred hearts and preposterously crowned virgins, about his ears. naturo = awesome cartoon. Fuck I hate that stupid chick Sakura, after all naturo does for her she sides with the bad guy. After talking to an asian dude at work he explains Japanese cartoons are always like that.
Also that power crazed sasuke guy can fuck off... thinks he's all that. Naruto needs to smack him around a bit and release the full power of the nail tails.
