I sure was going for that! I made it to 12,000 points on the MVM: 30-Wave Server before the stats were reset for 2017 (so I see..)

Yes it's normal.
The higher your rank the more vulnerable you are to a higher points loss when you die.
Its what makes up your skill ranking
Oh. That makes sense. While we are talking about points... Chatting 'hlx' brings up the leaderboard options, but not all of them function correctly. A few options just close the hlx UI.

Upon reaching 5000 points on 30 Wave MvM server, I started to notice heavy point losses. Sometimes I'd lose 25 points to bots who killed me. Next time maybe 11 points.
During the higher waves(10+) I'd die, lose points, get revived, die, get revived, etc. I would notice a ~200 point loss. =(
I always recover though. I'm currently at 6.3K points on this server.
So, is this normal?

More MvM maps, too.
Thanks for the suggestions David.
Replay takes up space on the servers, so it is hard for us to be able to do it. I will look into it over the next few weeks.
As for the more MvM maps, are you suggesting more maps for the 30 wave server? or an actual MvM vanilla server with original or custom maps?
Well, now that you brought it up, both of those sound awesome! (If I had to choose - I'd choose 30wave serv.)
