I also subscribe to the Christmas is shit theory. Especially because a motherfucking seagull pinched my quarter pounder out of my hand as I was eating it in the cathedral square on christmas day.
Greetings! From the glorious communist nation of China! I just bought a 12 pack of 576ml bottles of beer, from the shop at the ground floor of my dorm for $6 NZD!
Fuck, there is the doom smell of sewerage around our streets now
Keep boiling your water for you AND your pets.
be safe!

Out in ferrymead friend is reporting the smell of sulphur and there are other reports of a sulphur smell too. Quake location round about lyttleton... Ngati, when was the last time the Lyttleton volcano popped? :p Maybe it's not as extinct as we think lol
being a girly swot and going in to the uni library over the hols to get books & journal articles for my sports research turns out to have been rather prescient... wouldn't like to try and find anything in there at the moment...
Had it happened a few hours later, I would have been in that library studying :/ There were cleaners in there at the time. When power came back on during Saturday arvo all the vacuum cleaners which were still plugged in fired into life lol. I've been manning the BBQ at Facilities Management on campus the past couple of days. Some interesting stories around campus. Big cracks in granite in the law building, Chemistry absolutely trashed and flooded thanks to a broken water pipe.
nice work there, you've certainly got the eye for panos I find a tripod is only necessary if you're being absolutely pedantic about lining everything up or you're in a low-light/long exposure situation and have shaky hands :p
Panorama taken at the top of Stony Bay Pass Road. 44 photos stitched to make a 360° Panorama. Still a little bit of work to do in the sky, but is a MASSIVE file to work on.
This is a lowrez higly compressed jpeg version, roughly 2.5% of the full size image. The full size image you can see the boats in Akaroa Harbour, which is the bay closest to the bottom in the sun glare.
WARNING IT IS BIG (in pixels), if you want to view full-size I suggest downloading it.
I need to explore new areas around Banks Peninsula to explore.
