The 290's (they seem to be talking titan performance. No benchies yet) will possibly put pressure on nvidias 780/titan line up performance wise. AMD have also stated RRP prices that are significantly cheaper which many hope will force nvidia to at least price match in some form. Therefore hopefully putting pressure on the 280/270 and their nvidia equivalents price wise too.
2 weeks away or so. Why rush when BF is about to be released roughly the same time and your existing cards can still play the game.
Also, the AMD mantle api could be (who really knows at this point) a real game changer performance wise. Nvidia have Nvapi but that hasn't seen much in the way of performance increases/optimization.
Superior numbers is what wins battles. Pick them battles carefully.
Also, smart outfits don't continuously drive place to place. We tend to swap from side to side, back and front and definitely make a difference to the battlefield. Gal drops, redeploys to contested positions etc. Hack terminals behind enemy lines, mass out heavy tanks etc. and hit from behind. Infinite strats to be used.
Zerging is okay but it's more about mass power. That can be countered easily.
There are some outfits that require applications like "clan" but many are just outfits. In many ways, the "outfit" has killed clans with the "no need to apply to join our elite team".
One thing Soe has done reasonably well imo.
Although I'm in a small outfit of experiences players. We lock the squad down when we are hitting hard and open to all when we are cruising. You only think you are doing something constructive homie.
There's always something reasonably epic going on somewhere on Indar. At times there are many epic battles across the whole continent.
The alerts (2 hours long) seem to be well received too with a lot of outfits and individuals competing.
Best to pick a reasonable outfit if you want real teamwork in the epic parts although lone wolfing (when you know what you're doing) can be very rewarding.
Maybe he warped to a low pop continent but yes, join a squad, hit escape, hit redeploy, pick the spawn position or as above, instant action (it is so easy to understand where action is or isn't) and you will find yourself in much more shit than you ever did in BF.
