I congratulate my fellow Iranian monkey comrads.

History of Monkies in space.

The U.S. was the first country ever to launch a monkey named Albert to a sub-space altitude of 39 miles (63 kilometers) aboard a V2 rocket in June 1948.

He died of suffocation.

They tried again in 1949, with another rhesus monkey named Albert II, achieving an altitude of 83 miles (134 km) aboard another V2.

He died when the parachute failed, and the capsule smalled into the ground.

Alberts III, IV and V died for the same reason.

In 1959, the US recoved two primates alive after a spaceflight. A rhesus monkey named Able and a squirrel monkey named Baker reached an altitude of 483 km aboard a Jupiter rocket and were retrieved unharmed.

Able died several days later during an operation to remove an electrode from under her skin.

Finally, the U.S. launched a chimp named Ham on a suborbital spaceflight on Jan. 31, 1961. Ham reached an altitude of 253 km and was recovered unharmed.

I suppose a parachute failure would make things smaller upon impact.

We really need to get a man to Mars, before these goddamn monkeys overtake us in the space race.
