I'd hate to be thought of as ignorant, but I always half believed that the protests all these people attended were a cultural phenomena. Like it was just what they did. Sure, conditions are bad for many, and governments are organised military gangs, but it seemed crazy.
I couldn't believe or comprehend why people with families would stand en masse at the point of a gun.

Just watched this and related for the first time.

Also, James Blunt is awful.
