The rulebook is hell expensive. They should have one for FREE on their website which is UPDATED. The models cost enough without having to buy old codex, new codex and rulebooks plus all the White Drawfs.

I have a couple of mates that are big into 40K - I myself love reading the books, I love the Dawn of War Series (and I quite enjoyed Space Marine) but at $40 a model for special characters, not to mention the 200-300 you have to spend to get a single decent Army and also the hours of invested time I don't have.

I stear clear of the tabletop hobby.

Mainly because I know I would enjoy it and it would make that little bit of my social life and bank account balance I still retain that little bit smaller
