Nobody is abusing them over their defence of their faiths,
The best thing about Finance Minister Bill English\'s latest Budget is that it does finally signal a much greater role for the private sector in the New Zealand economy. And another step along the way to extract this country from the political cul-de-sac in which Helen Clark\'s Labour Government parked us.

I know there's a lot of young folks around here - most probably students and young people in their early 20s, and during that stage of development, everything still seems black and white. It's only when they leave their parent/'s nest and start their own families (get a job, get married or not, have children, buy/rent a house etc) do they realise the world is not so black and white, and shades of grey become quite common.
This kind of post detracts from his arguements and riles the blood of those posting in reply. And I'm quite certain he's doing it on purpose for the reaction so you can hardly blame those who reply.
You are doing much the same yourself, you've picked one line out of the entire post for a quick point score instead of engaging in debate. I tried to answers your concerns and questions as best as I could and the only comment you could make was this.
I'm sorry if that's the impression that's being given, it wasn't intended. I was actually going to reply to BlackHeart, but you posted after so i decided to quote you instead. So i wasn't intending anything personal. Anyway, i've said my piece - i'm happy to leave it at that.
Of course he was wrong. Nowhere in scripture is the age of the universe/earth stated, nor can this be calculated working backwards through the geneologies or whatever. You would not believe the arguments I've had with those who differ. :cussing:
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was [a] formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. 3 And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.
16 God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. 17 God set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth, 18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.
Or maybe man misinterpreted it? In which case you must ask - what else was misinterpreted?.
No.The principle of Causality (i.e every effect requirs a preceding cause), is based on a universe governed by the laws space-time.If the universe was created by a supreme being, then that supreme being wouldn't be subject to Causality, thus doesn't need to come from anything.Same question could be asked about the Big Bang, where did that come from? The answer is the same.
Dirtyape just answered the question the thread title was asking.Science wins, thread closed.
Point being that if God created everything thats how she would make it look, knowing how inquisitive we are.Everything may have been made to appear billions of years old when in actual fact(haha) it's all only 6007 years old in terms of it's existance.
The best defense rational people have is Occam's Razor, it just seems unnecessary to include in your would view a tricky god who would want to make it look like he didn't exist by including scientific evidence for the big bang and evolution
Why? Because the bible is the word of god. And if it is proven wrong then god lied. And who is the father of lies?
to this website there are around 2 billion people world wide who believe in God as described by Christianity.
If it's being reduced to emperical levels, religion wins - they have the hotter chicks.
But they don't put out, what fucking use is that? That's just teasing!
