^ I have a feeling that while the 'sea shepards' are using it to propogate a pourposful ramming... shining a green laser into the eyes of the captain to make him blind sure as fuck isn't the smartest thing to do... really if that's true, then WELL DUH HE HIT YOU, morans.hehe.Who remembers this?Random Images
http://www.seashepherd.org/news-and-media/news-100105-4.html"According to eyewitness Captain Chuck Swift on the Bob Barker, the attack happened while the vessels were dead in the water. The Shonan Maru No. 2 suddenly started up and deliberately rammed the Ady Gil ripping eight feet of the bow of the vessel completely off. According to Captain Swift, the vessel does not look like it will be saved."Its going to be a "he said she said" thing, so who knows what will happen.
I watched the video for that on Youtube. Bit of a laugh as the black boat was zipping around firing a green laser at the big boat hoping to scare it.
Purposful on both accounts IMO.One wants to go "ooh look, they rammed us! bad, bad people!"And the other wants to go "look at these gimps, making a nuisance out of themselves with no regard for maritime laws about giveway, shining lasers in our eyes to blind us, etc"[/IMG]
"Dead in the Water" bollocks... the video from the Jap boat clearly shows a wake churn from Ady and it going forward.Perhaps the should just duel it out, harpoons at 50m perhaps ?

i had kinda hope speakman had died, what a pity
jap captain: im bigger, imma ram himsmaller vessel captain: imma get lotsa media attention if i ram him
better angle here you can see the japs turning into them 1:26
That could be the wake from that thing just idling .. have you see the specs on the engines? twin 500> hp brutes bro
Spoiler :
Last time I checked, disengaged engines don't make wake, becaues there's no drive to the prop.because if they're engaged, they're not stationary, or 'dead in the water', are they?and even so... I did think about that. The wake is considerably smaller until just before that point, where suddenly it jumps up like there's some kind of urgency to get to a destination.
And if it were in reverse... Pretty sure it (the wake) would be going the other way.
Not to pick your post specifically... but it's probably themost relevant to quote.Because:OH LOOK, I'M NOT MOVING, THAT IS NOT A WAKE YOU SEE.I AM 'DEAD IN THE WATER', SO FUCK YOU WHALING SCUM!
dunno been watching it and until the final few seconds there is no wake. more like accelerating to avoid the jp boat. Plus who is stupid enough to purposefully crash a milliondollar boat
