If I ping iconz karky server I get 50 ping but if I play I get a 60-70 ping.

My computer=MC, Server=S

With interleaving;

MC=Hey there S, how is it going.
S=, OHHAI MC, not too bad i gues.
MC=Nice weather?
S=Sure. sure.
MC=Hey S, I need a file, do you think you can help?
S=sure can, what is it you need?
MC=I need to download a (some random file here)
S=sure, i have that file. here you go. how if your family?
MC=not too bad, thanks for the file, look after yuourself. bai
S=bai


Without interleaving;

MC=I need this file, here are the details.
S=Sure, we have it, here you go, uploading now.


Just apply that to packets of data being sent too and from the server.

TBF I have an university degree in IT, so I would believe me. We're not all trying to pass NCEA 1 around here.

Your brother in laws analogy only describes the added time the interleaving process takes, and does not describe any of the benefits that it gives.
