Jesus ngati,vailima is horse piss...
in the good old days before most of you were swimming in your old mans bags, steinlager was a brew to contend with, steinlager in a white and green print STEEL tin. it was fuckin deelicious , hard days work for the old man on a saturday and a glass of ice cold steinie.. then came the new stuff....

I remember those steinies !

Yeah, Vailima is very Tui, but I'm curious about the German pedigree.

Wells Bombardier English Premium Bitter.

5.2%

Tasty, but nothing really to write home about. Having said that, I would drink again.

Now, here's a good'un: Coopwea Best Extra Stout.

Worth every penny and is taste plus.

Will definitely drink again....and again....and again _b

A quick rinse and it's on to the 'Green JMan Strong special Release Whisky Oak Aged' 6.5% abv.

By crikey that's the best of the night: a Bock/bitter blend  aged in  whisky oak for three months.
Bee-you-tee-ful!

Growler, I am well keen on a wine barrel for the homebrew now !

Had a glass or three of this while I was in San Fran.

A great deep amber colour, thick creamy head and a great full taste. Not too heavy and very quaffable. Recommend.

And while you are in Belgium try this.

Very high alcohol content, had it at a beer fest. in Switzerland and it had a faint aftertaste like it was fortified with gin!! Wouldn't drink too many though.

I'm pretty open to most beer - except Tui, Rheineck, and export gold.
that db export 33 would have to be the worst beer I have tasted in recient times.

since having a pint at the Guiness factory it would have to be my number one beer.  Other that that I like most things from Waikato to Carlsburg - Monteiths Black another good one.  Not tried much Micro brewery stuff though had one of those Mikes real ales and wasn't big on it.

At the moment I'm back into home brew- A dirty old can of Lion Dark ale was quite good and also some random light ale.

Got the macs brewing kit which is 11 litre rather than standard 20 odd
as the Macs malt kits are brewed with no sugar and just the Malt mix. and hence half the volume.  Brewing Malt only with random cans is working well so far.  I'm sure sugar just turns a bad brew nasty.

The best thing about Finance Minister Bill English\'s latest Budget is that it does finally signal a much greater role for the private sector in the New Zealand economy. And another step along the way to extract this country from the political cul-de-sac in which Helen Clark\'s Labour Government parked us.

Anchor Steam is excellent, we used to drink it whenever we could - if you like that then make sure you try Samuel Adams.

Slightly tart (I like a little tart).

Enjoyable sampling of some British beers.
Hobgoblin was probably my favourite.

Need to have a piss.

Oh it's well past its drink by date, got it beofre I got married, so would be 10+ years I have had it. Some people say old growlers are better, more mature, well travelled you might say. I'm yet to sample the fruits, but you never know, I could become a hunter one day ;)
