Whilst the saying "It's not the tools, it's the tradesman" is true, it's only true to a certain extent. Take it with a grain of salt.

I wouldn't expect anyone to take NZIPP award winning shots with a webcam.

I'd be surprised if that camera had an ISO of 1600. Anyway, try turning on the lights in the room, using the flash and resting it on something.

I bet the first shot with the flash will make the photo 1000x better.

Now that the batteries have been recharged, I've tried playing around with the camera, but i'm not quite sure what mode to use D:

There is an "sp" mode
Auto mode
M mode
A Mode - apparently the best mode after looking at my pictures.
S Mode
P Mode.

I figured auto mode would be cheap, and not work as well as a well set up shot. Any help / clarification.

Also what is with the changeable setting F2.8 - F8 (i've seen it higher but at the mode that i've currently found best, thats the range)

Edit: and now their flat after 10-16 pictures...

Here are some photos of my sexy axolotls. (sorry unless you want pictures of cats, this is the best your going to get :P)

Oh and I also took Swindles advice by turning every light in my room on :P

To explain the photos

Blacky ( the black one ) is just sitting in the corner stearing at me playing computer. These photos are so good, you can see his/her random spike in his tail (not hard, and its not a command thing). You can also see his/her gimp hand :3 (front right hand)
Pinky ( the pink one) is just being his/her regular self and sitting under the log.

what focus mode you using, it looks like it picked the frotn join in the controller as its focus point. This is why I onlt ever use center focus on cameras, point, half press and move if you have too.
