No idea. Probably because it takes two seconds longer to adjust ISO than it does other stuff, so I compromised. =I

But the reason why I'm going to start posting the details is so you guys can tell me what I'm doing wrong, then I can hopefully get better!

1/1200+ Photo's from a long 12 hour day of motor sport (glad to be home) but had an awesome day out 4 tarmac stages on willowbank drag strip and end car park, 4 tarmac stages on willowbank front carpark, 1 1hour navigational stage, 4 grasskana, 1 1hour navigational stage and top it off with another 2 grasskana stages.. Plus a passenger run in a 2010 SS around the kana track. Have yet to be bothered to look at the rest of the photo's >_<

Water mark is way tooooooo big mate, make it like 1/6th the size.

Even the width of the horses neck in the bottom left hand corner is too big. It's a brand, not a feature of the photos and at the moment your mark is a feature that is taking away from the photo.

If you are worried about copyright etc etc etc, spend the money on a app called Digimarc, it will inivisbly mark and trak your images on the web and you can find if anyone stole them.

If you are doing it to get your name out there, then hotlink your image to your website and leave a small brand on your images.

Growler im after a 400mm minimum zoom lens for motorsport, maybe even constant f-stop around 2.6 I think a lot are? What do you suggest? Sub $600 AUD and prederaby I try use DWI

Yea D90. Doesnt have to be nikon lense though.

i hate to say it mate, but $600 is gonna push it.

Id suggest the Sigma 'BIGMA' it's got great reviews. its a 150-500, so on the d90 will be 210-700mm so a HUGE reach.

there is of course the super expensive option... but ha, sif!low fstop..... ouchies 200-500mm f2.6 is a whopping $32,500!!!

if you wanted to just dabble in it to try out super zooms, get the cheap cheap nikon 70-300 ($115 AU) which is 98-420mm and then whack a Kenko autofocus 2x converter on it for like $150. That will double the length of ANY lens you own. Which would turn that cheap 70-300 into an effective 200-800mm lens.

my opinion, the Bigma is hard to beat, and you could whack a 2x converter on that sucker later on and be left with an effective lens of 400-1400mm on the D90.

What are the negative affects of a teleconverter? Can you get bigger than 2x? It could be a nice option just for now But dam that BIGMA lol looks mean

Well a teleconverter is essentially just sticking a magnifying glass between your lens and your body. You will get a slight reduction in sharpness etc.

You can stack converters, 2 x + 2x or 1.4x + 2x.

There will probably be some cheap manual focus versions on ebay, hell there might even be some cheap autofoucs. This appears to be a fmount autofocus 2x.
