I need a tripod, and possibly better lenses if I want to have more fun with this, But was pissing around with settings taking pictures of cats (camera was on floor to keep it most steady). That little infopic really helped, Cheers :P

Was actually really fun doing just that. I'd show you guys my photos but 1, They're all shit, 2, My house is a mess (lol.) and 3, I'm sure it was annoying enough last time I posted pictures of my once-owned axolotls.

This photo is unedited (other than compression), it's not really remarkable for any other reason than I cannot believe how much better my new camera is compared to the point and shoot I previously used.

F/13, ISO200, 30" exposure, the little LEDS are the only light sources in the room. But no cancerous noise like my Point-shoot camera :)

Cool pic hori. I too was amazed at what a decent slr can do in low light. Shits dope. Playing around with them really is the best way to learn. You end up with a lot of crap, but learn pretty quick.

I am out of NZ travelling at the moment, am posting pictures to a tumblar I just started. Check it out, http://mcctravels.tumblr.com/

I plan to update it every few days or so, just depending on where I am and what I am doing. Wont be checking back here, so if anyone has some pro feedback for me, please PM me so I will get an email notification of it.

the way your lens renders out of focus points of light causing coloured objects even tho out of focus to become pleasant
its another way to frame a subject or object to make it stand out more
