My first fireworks photos.

As De said its hard to know how high they are going to go, and with all the action being over in a few seconds you have to be really quick. Bit of a change from still subjects. Hmm, probably should have resized some of these so they were a bit smaller.

If we hit that bullseye, the rest of the dominoes should fall like a house of cards. Checkmate.

About five years ago I did yea, some of them still make me jump a bit, but others are just amazing. I love the patterns and shit.

This spider is about the size of a fingernail with all it's legs stretched out. Hardly a menacing spider. :P

It's this one that you have to watch out for (rather large red back).

all good mate :) one thing to remember though is that different lenses will always create different bokeh  effects .. generally the better the glass the more hexagonal the halation will be :)

Oh for sure, I currently have just the basic kit 18-55, 55-250 and a 50MM lens, the 55-250 produces an okay bokeh when at a suitable distance zoomed in
and the nifty fifty is not toooooo shabby, however it's a cheap plasticy almost disposable feeling lens.

Honestly mate the 50mm canon Prime punch for punch would honestly hold its own against a the equivalent in Zeiss (i had one so i can make the comparison except it was an f1.4) i do understand that it is light and plastic but there is no doubting the quality and trust me the Zeiss is just as easy to break :P just ask my 5 yr old son :P
