It's strange looking at photos on this page with the christmas forums now, as the light background doesn't show the snow very well, but then suddenly every photo has snow falling pas it..

Yeh could be. What meteor shower is this? off to googles.

Was going to head to birkenhead area and shoot for harbour bridge - AKL skyline tonight, but plans can be adjusted.

Yeh was pretty good.

Meteors are the shit, but fucking impossible to capture as they appear randomly in the sky and are gone as fast as they come. Harder to capture than fireworks or lightening.

The additional light to the right of the frame is a bitch, its totally washed out a bunch of my images with noise and shit.

Nah I don't think so. They didn't have any lights on late at night, they just had LED headlamps earlier on. Maybe it was just the residual light reflecting off condensation starting to form in the air?

still looks awesome mate :) and yeah could have been ... but there was also a fair amount of traffic on the road to North Piha ... the headlights illuminate lion rock so could have been caused by that

It was nuts busy. A lot of people insisted on driving up and down the street, resulting in quite the traffic jam. Walking was much more fruitful and enjoyable.

Got the camera out a bit over the weekend, in a vairety of different settings which was good for trying out various functions and limits of the camera.

yeah theres prolly close to $2000 worth of timelaps dolly there as well as maybe 16-18 hours of shots also in a place where there's 0 light pollution ... would be ok if i lived in central north island or central to southern south island.
