I really like the second one with the plane. Very nice angles and good composition.  TBH (i hope you dont mind a little criticism) the first and third are'nt really landscape.  I liked the idea of the third one but not enough interest in the background, and the comp is slightly off.  

Just tell me to piss off if you think i'm wrong.

Nice Distorted, I love panormas (spelling?). Pretty good quality phone camera too

Haha nah thanks for the criticism, yeah I agree the background is disinteresting in the third one and its not really a landscape. But I would call the first one a landscape. We had to take pictures of 3 categories in the assignment, and that one fitted into 'Constructed Landscape.' The plane is my favourite too

does anyone else get the feeling that digital photography gives the masses the ability to shoot statistically, rather than skillfully?

"if I take 300 photos of the same thing then chances are one of them will look good"

I agree,  the skills of trying to get a good shot first time is diminishing in a digital world.

I disagree, just because a photo looks nice doesnt mean it has any artistic quality. I think the digitizing of photography has only reduced costs and opened it up to more people who previously couldnt afford it.

If your only concerned about camera effects, aperature, exposure and all that jazz then your missing the point. To take a photo which is actually good (as opposed to just "cool") then you need to take into consideration so many other things. Anyone can take a nice photo, not many can take a photo that actually has some meaning or an idea behind it. I doubt many amatuers with a point and shoot digital camera have exhibitions or any of their work really taken seriously.

Sure your position as an amateur may be compromised but really its just an opportunity to step up your game.

The amount of shots required to get it perfect is unimportant, its like saying a painting's value is lowered by the amount of time it took to paint.

I take photos of fucking everything if i find it interesting because it pushes me to think more about my surroundings and notice things i wouldnt usually notice.
