Don't worry, I'll be brought back down to earth when Wigan thrash us tonight.

I should've bet on it, although I thought they'd win.

--

I've always said it, if any team performed as bad as the refs do consistently, they would not be in the Premier League.

When will Soccer bring in a an actual appeal system? Even one call per team per game would be better than this crap. What could possibly be wrong with it? Players/ manager calls something incorrect? Boo fucking hoo, life would go on.. Is it that it will interrupt the game? Oh yea, because two deliberate handballs in the same minute (Yes I do think at least one of them was deliberate - in the wall) which none were even looked at by either ref is not interrupting the game at all...

i think when the british press were going on about video replay FIFA basically said "this would take too long and stop the game too much"

Once or twice a game would not be a problem at all in my opinion, it'd even add a bit of excitement to it, I love it when an appeal is made in cricket, then the big screen flashes up in big red writing with 'NOT OUT'.

Soccer is just like the catholic church, once apon a time everyone saw it as being the only way to go, but due to the leaders not wanting to change the laws, a lot of people (just me as far as soccer goes) are beginning to think it's all a crock of shit.

Yeah - what annoys me is that when the margins are so close between win, draw and loss - that having a fallible system like it currently is makes no sense. Never should have been a goal for Birmingham, Wigan should not have had a penalty, and Arsenal should have had one.

This shit about it 'taking too long', is nonsense. It's replayed on Sky in seconds. It doesn't have to be used every time there is something contentious - but if neither the ref or linesman is unsure about what the players and fans are going mental about, they should just tap their ear and get told.

They are beautiful products, however they often lack that final bit of magic, but the latest batch or two have been pretty good.

A couple of Aussie betting websites have Ancelotti paying at 1.50 to be sacked by the end of January.

I might chuck a grand on that. ;)
