What game were you watching Spork? Certainly not what the stats reported, Liverpool had 43% to Arsenals 57% so hardly a cutting apart the rest was fairly even besides Arsenals 10 Corners to Liverpools 3!
What I would be worried about is the fact that the team Liverpool finished with had an average age of 20 so they had less experience than the Arsenal veterans and still manged to hold Arsenal out.

Mate, if (possession) stats where everything the league would be completely different, as an Arsenal supporter following a team whom constantly dominate possession, you begin to realise that as I said, stats do not win trophies, nor always win games.

In the first half at least, Arsenal should have been a few up. Of course both teams should have had at least one goal before the added time.

Also, @ age, that means shit all these days, Wilshire is the best player in the EPL, then there is Sturrige, Szczesney, and a whole load of others whom constantly out perform others aging from 5-10 years older than them.

Never said that, was more saying that it would have been the least experienced team we have fielded this season... it was positive! It was just funny that Liverpool's weakest team could hold all that experience of Arsenal.

Guess we just watched it from different POV's as I in no way thought the gooners were dominating whatsoever, merely stated that teh game stats thought it was an even match also.

Where did you find that out? can't find that anywhere on the interweb... was that an FA announced stat or just your wish as the official EPL listings have him at 52 not one, I would assume if he was the best player then surely the official player ranking system would have to have him at number one! I will email them for you and tell them of thier oversight :P

I was being an Arsenal supporter :P. Also re the POV thing, while it is obvious that we were (I pretty well only ever concentrate on how Arsenal perform) it is also obvious that Arsenal did not really carve Liverpool up, however they definitely should have finished the game off on the field before it came to the last minutes of the game. We did not even deserve the point in the end because of how useless we were at so many things.

http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/premier-league/2011/04/17/2446209/arsenals-jack-wilshere-wins-pfa-young-player-of-the-year

He has definitely been one of the best, and he deserves his award a fuck load more than Stale Bale deserves the grown ups award. Jack has consistently performed extremely well since November, Bale did well in two euro games.

EDIT: I only just read that article, bit strange how Jack won the young player, but Bale came second.

Sort of a bit like where that Kanye meme came from. :P

It does hurt, but I was expecting it.

I thought the game was in Liverpool until 5 minutes had been played and the crowd were chanting with London accents, so I was expecting it to go to a draw, then once the first half ended, I knew it would.

Didn't stop me from jumping up and down like a little girl when RVP scored.

I thought Arsenal dominated Liverpool in the midfield, and kept them pretty quiet up front too. Still, there is nothing remotely surprising about Arsenal snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

The fight for the title race.

It is now clear that neither Arsenal nor Man U WANT to win the title, I mean how often has each team slipped up? The only fight involved with the title seems to be the fight to lose it.

Good old Newcastle.

Well it's not like any other team have been decent, Chelsea have been the only team winning games as of late. Quite a scary thing really.

Cool we're second..wtf?
so we just gotta win our last 3 home games, beat the Mancs 5-0 at OT to settle the GD, hope that Arsenal beat Man Utd at the Emirates and then win our last game at Everton, which they will roll because they hate the mancs more than they hate us.

Easy. :p

I actually thought we played pretty well. The penalty was a terrible goal to concede, but the two before it were screamers - total quality.

Yep, Chester got way too confident, and should not have come for it, it wasn't even that much of a threat.

There was quite a lot of bad tackles from both sides, but meh, I don't care about spurs being hacked down, that charge from Sczeszny against Bale was fantastic, and actually a good keeper tackle as well.

Been far too long since we last had a good keeper (although Fabianski was doing real well at the start of the season).

All I have heard about this bloke is bad news of him doing stupid stuff, or just generally being an idiot.

http://www.caughtoffside.com/2011/04/20/mario-balotelli-gives-homeless-man-1000-after-25k-casino-win/

+reputation to Balotelli for this, as sure some of these people may go and spend the money on drugs, but the way I see it, it is better for them to be on drugs and on the street, than to be on nothing and on the street, which they would be without the money. It's the thought that counts.

So yea, good work Mario, you've done well for once.

Real Madrid waited 18 years to win back the Copa del Rey trophy -- only to drop the cup and watch it get crushed under the wheels of a bus.

Only hours after beating archrival Barcelona in the domestic cup final in Valencia, Madrid defender Sergio Ramos let the 33-pound cup fall from the top of the team bus during celebrations early Thursday morning in the capital.
