Group D: Germany, Australia, Serbia, Ghana
Group E: Netherlands, Denmark, Japan, Cameroon

That's about as kind as they could have got I think.

England has also got a kindish draw - but hey it's the world cup and anything can happen!!

"Kindish"? Jeez man they've been handed the keys to the second round and told to walk right in.

Everyone's saying the "pool of death" is Group G, but i reckon its Group D - literally. With the Australian team stacked with Croatians, coming up against Serbia, well i hope that FIFA has got the security ready because that could be a bloodbath.

And i'm sure the Australians are already preparing for it at home after the disgraceful scenes that have been seen at the Australian Tennis Open in the last couple of years.

All in all, there's going to be some magic games, its just a shame that much of it will be on at ungodly hours in the night.

Full draw here: http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/matches/index.html

The best thing about Finance Minister Bill English\'s latest Budget is that it does finally signal a much greater role for the private sector in the New Zealand economy. And another step along the way to extract this country from the political cul-de-sac in which Helen Clark\'s Labour Government parked us.

NZ has a reasonable draw

and its not like italy are playing like world champions at the moment

as for the england pool i wouldnt be surprised if the USA topped that table

the americans beat spain at the confed's cup and fought hard in the final

Spain definately has the easiest pool

pool of death for me would be group G with Brazil and portugal expected to go through but the ivory coast can be a dangerous team for anyone. in saying that group B is pretty even too so we shall see

fuck i cant wait!!!

backing spain but I want the netherlands to get through and live up to their potential

They seem to fire on these sorts of things. They will lift their game ten fold.

yeah but they love this sort of thing, the show ponies. They will lift their game ten fold.

that is true, it was like the last world cup

no one picked them but they did what it took to win

thats a lesson most NZ sports teams need to learn

Oh yeah go the socceroos as well, i hope they do well

Ah, thank god, City have beaten another top four team, I was starting to worry about the ol' Arsenal for a bit. :P

Good win over Stoke for us though, haven't watched the game yet, but I am sure it was a brilliant one. Good to see the clean sheet.
