Crazy U-21 Spanish penalty kick where a guy looked like he was kicking it one way but kicked it the other.

It would most likely be on http://www.101greatgoals.com

Meh, I wouldn't attach any importance to that at all eh. Better to get off to a winning start sure, but no one gives a damn. If I were Chelsea I'd be more confused as to why during the pre-season most of the first teamers have seen so little action.

Or am I missing something?

I didn't see any of Chelsea's pre season except for the score lines when they lost and drew with some horribly bad sides, but most teams play as many of their younger/ less experienced in pre season don't they? I mean it's like the only time these kids get to play except for the carling cup..

Well, theres the reserve leagues which run all season.

Most teams use the pre-season as a chance to get their senior players up to speed and mix them in with younger players who look to have potential.

Chelsea just seem to be flunking the games by populating them with all reserves and under. I mean, perhaps the senior players were off in some other form of fitness camp, or camps - and Chelsea were just fulfilling contractual obligations they have with their affiliates by throwing whoever happened to be around at the games.

It's probably worth noting though, that Manchester United played plenty of senior team players in games during their tour of the States - and certainly looked a shit load sharper than Chelsea did.

But then again, it's not like they struggled to beat some no-mark Polish side in a display which seems to define them as a team so very starkly.

Nor did they draw with a reasonably average AC Milan... At home. :P

In Wenger we trust!

@ Maori.

Bring it on, bitches!

Although apparently neither Fabregas nor RVP will play, and theres a few other doubtfuls aswell...

I'm hearing that Frimpong will play DM, with Wilshire and Nasri in CM - and that Flappy will start in goal.

To which I say - erm.

Yea that is what I've been reading too, as apparently Song isn't fit yet.

Here's to another fun season! :P

I hope Liverpool come second. I like Liverpool a lot more than any other of the bigger teams. (top 6 do we have now?)
