Well IIRC Scalping was made illegal a few years back. The most one is allowed to ask for an onsold ticket is their money back.

Of course the issuer can void tickets which have been purchased via scalping, which I think is good idea, however hard to enforce.

There are benefits to Scalping, you can always get a ticket, if you are willing to pay the price.


Personally I think the issuer should be required to refund tickets for the same price and sell them again for the same price. Then there would be no valid reason to on sell them on sites like Trade me, then ban Scalping.
