im so sorry to hear that yet glad your grandmother was ok and unhurt on top of what she has already been through.   Having read these stories of these cocksuckers taking advantage of what has happened really makes my blood boil.  Haven't Cantabrians been through enough?  There are lives, homes, livelihood lost, destroyed and taken and so many people are left with just the clothes on their backs.  Shouldnt this be a time when the entire region, the country come together and help in anyway they can?  i would be extremely disgusted if these looters, scumbags and fuckfaces get off lightly.  They need to be made examples of.

to all of you in canterbury, your strength and determination amazes me and blows me away.  It really does.  your willingness to band together brushing your own turmoil aside to help a friend and even total strangers is unprecendented and i truly hope the rest of the country and your fellow kiwis see and feel your actions and do what they can to help rebuild your lives and your confidence.

your strength and staunchness truly displays what a real new zealander is.  you lot are the most staunchest people i know and i am so so grateful to have been met with such hospitality when i was fortunate enough to come and meet you last october.

I have an uneasy feeling about these companies that are marketing Earthquake appeals. Playtech is one of many doing this, my email is being bombarded with them. I'm sure most of them are doing it with the best intentions but it just feels like another sale dressed up in new clothes.

To reassure cynics like myself wouldn't it be better if all profits from the promotion went to the earthquake appeal. I don't want to come across as an asshat, as any money heading to Ch Ch is a great thing. I guess I just don't like the commercialization aspect of it

It's like "We will only donate money if you buy something off us first", and I don't like that at all. If they were serious, that would make a lump sum payment straight up. I know ANZ and Fonterra are making massive upfront donations, good on them.

Im guessing I have moved myself about 9cum of silt, 2 houseloads of carpet. Havent even started on my house yet but myself and my family are safe iving out of town for now and trying to get other people up and running. Still no idea about work, and not going to find out till next week.

If I wasn't helping other people I think I would be going nuts. Tomorrow is a day off, if weather permits, jet boating and some fishing, then back into the thick of it. Still alot of mud to move from my parents then I will move onto my house, then onto other people tht still need help. If anyone here needs any form of help, please PM me and I will see what I can do.
