Shower turns from ~28 degrees to ~2 degrees in half a second flat.

It's good to see some people really know what matters in a time like this.

I would love to get my EQC claim settled. Im out of pocket $2000 for emergency repairs, Prescription Glasses that were stuck in the Red Zone, not to mention cant afford to replace my iPod that got wet in a building that the sprinklers went off in, my 50" plasma that smashed on the lounge floor, or replace my 3 business suit jackets that were left in the office that's still in the red zone, now assumed fu)ked due to the sprinkler thing. EQC need more workers and less red tape!..

I saw on the news the other night about EQC havng paid out $1,000,000,000 to the Chch quake so far, and are paying out on average $3,000,000 a day at the moment, I'm sure some people were impressed by the big numbers, I sure as hell wasn't.

370,000 claims to work through. Alot of those will be 2+ per house, if not more to some. We have 3 claims in since Sept.

I think (need to get figures) it was 10-12,000 homes in the "fooked" category and 30,000 in the over $100k but can be repaired. So lets look at those alone. It would be safe to say the all the fooked home will be getting the maximum EQC payout of $100,000 + GST - excess for a total of $113,500, so that's 40,000 odd claims that are just payouts.

They are paying $3mil a day, and say they are giving priority to the severe damage bracket. So lets pretend thats the written off homes and the ones that will be managed by insurance (e.g bitchihoo), that $3mil = 26 settled claims a day..... if that's right it will only take them 3 years to settle ALL the max payout jobs that don't require any inside management.

I got told ages ago that our claim was sorted and money would be with you/bank soon so your insurance can commence... spoke to them 2 weeks ago and they had no idea, no idea , no idea......

EQC has been managed extremely poorly.

Up until recently they were answering enquires through facebook and trademe forums. They stopped because of the amount of abuse they were getting. I WONDER WHY THAT IS


Run it better, show that you are actually making progress, smooth out your internal processes and policies, and see what happens
