and I was like GIFSoup

Or even

http://gifb.in/OlsV

No idea how to upload that.

I honestly felt like a God when I thought that up, and then when I tricked (b)obbles into doing it, then like five other people, I really did not stop laughing.. Ever, I am still laughing.

It was such an awesome game back then.

I felt so high and mighty being the only (although I think Demandred did too) person with a diamond pickaxe.

One of those Occupy protests has started in Adelaide in the square I walk through to and from work.

Maybe I'll be there when the police come and start hitting them with sticks.

Apparently there is also one on about legalizing marijuana, not sure if it's at the same time, but I think it might be. Read it somewhere.

Was a good day today, 4 hours of work, finished at 1:30, went straight to the beach, Glenelg had quite a few people there.

Legalise Marijuana protests will never work. Stoners either forget or can't be bothered to turn up. Or both.

I'd go, but I'm too busy mowing the grass.

Second 5970, good idea? Yes or no? :P

EDIT; Holy cow, they've dropped down in price heaps since BF3 release, they were still selling for $900 AUD just before, and now only just above $500.

Or on planet reality, most of them know the law is unenforced and just carry on living their lives.

Yea, I thought it looked a bit weird, but it was literally a 5 second search on Google to find a 'happy' dog. I was hoping for better, but I took what I could get.

Your logic bewilders me, public sector is terrible. A lot of people have no investment into what they are doing, they merely work for the pay check and nothing more. The public sector promotes lazy workers, and a lazy country by paying people no matter what they do. The private sector in contrast people actually invest their own money and time and if it fails then you lose a massive investment, this drives up the quality of work and workers. Given that there are a lot of c*nts in the private sector, but imo that's almost a requirement for working in the private sector. Like any workplace you have to see whether you fit there, I don't think that differs from public to private. Also money in private sector is a lot better lol

Not sure what public sector you've seen but the two business units I work for are pretty hard and tightly scheduled. Slackers get fired. The first 2 private places I worked in where shit and the same things consistently happened

Workers brought in profit and extra work, boss wasted money on gambling drinking and horses nek minnit not business. I know this doesn't happen everywhere but it happens enough to be noticeable. Last place I worked was pretty good though.

Massey had an amazing work environment so I can totally understand that the public sector is great to work in, even my stint at StudyLink was pretty good. Although at Massey You had to deal with shitty bureaucratic vomit if you wanted to try and provide any sort of innovation, but bosses were amazing, holidays and paid leave was plentiful and the pay was awesome.

All experiences in the private sector have left me grinding my teeth because those who are in charge still follow the hard and fast rule of "work hard, and work some more". There's no motivation or incentives to really drive your productivity up apart from an innate sense to harbor a good work ethic. And even that can run dry when you're constantly shat on.

Sounds like we've had/heard some extremely different experiences. I've worked in the private sector for the past 5? years, never had an issue, none what so ever.

Private has definitely left a bitter taste although it's definitely not all the same, I'm sure there will be places that will be better than anything i've had before around (Although probably not in this city) but in saying that if I was in private I probably would have never got the opportunity to do the work i'm doing now which I love.

LOL.

Someone by the name of Andres has signed up to a Netflix account with my Gmail address. Right now I have full access to Netflix (if I was a dick).

Emailed Netflix telling them I'm not Andre.

Have never worked in the Public sector - although both my parents have. My job now is private, small business (very new to me). I have worked for Australian-owned intl. franchises (Thrifty Car Rental and Instant Windscreens & Tinting) and NGOs / Maori organisatiosn (Te Runanga o Ngai Tahu) and then medium sized private sector companies owned by Ngai Tahu.

I love working with my people so NT was great, and I think it would be similar in the Public sector - very rewarding, great atmosphere and sense of achievement. You're working to better people's lives, not just in a monetary sense. The downside was probably the high job-security leading to many people not trying very hard, and probably working backwards for the overall objectives of the organisation.

Whereas the private sector you're just lining some fat-cats pocket. In this new job, it's a small business (4 employees + owner), and you do feel a bit more responsible because your actions directly influence whether or not you have a job tomorrow. The other thing about the private sector that I do like is the competition, and the cut-and-thrust nature of business. You've got to put our company on the front foot and try to beat the others out in the market.

The biggest downside of my current job is probably working with Speakman, he smells of BlackWatch and his beard is intimidating. Some days, I'm so scared of his facial hair that I send him to the bakery to get my lunch just so I can have a few minutes of relief.
