To whom it may concern,Further to a phone conversation held early on the morning of Sunday the 20th of November with a Corporate Cabs telephone operator, I am writing to query whether or not action is being taken with regard to the events taking place whilst I was under the care of services by Corporate Cabs, namely that of Car ---; and employee --- ----.As stated in the phone call, throughout the duration of my journey from Christchurch Central to Fendalton, I was made increasingly uncomfortable by the actions and conversation held with Mr. Gage. My friend and I were cautious of the quality of driving exercised, with failure of indication when turning, and the 'running' of orange and possibly red-lights at busy intersections along Bealey Avenue. Perhaps unqualified to question the driving standard of your employees, we were certainly more offended by the statements made by Mr. Gage namely the disparaging remarks regarding ethnic groups within New Zealand, particularly Jewish demographics. And further affronted by the lecture we received in response to our identifying of atheists regarding the existence of a Christian god.Notwithstanding my total belief that -- ---is entitled to his opinions, I did not find them appropriate or within the realms of polite conversation. I also believe that many customers would also feel similar. Ethnic prejudice is not acceptable in today's market and society. While the services of Corporate Cabs has been outstanding and a credit to the organisation, I am not comfortable with continuing or referring any future business without the confidence in knowing such issues are rectified.
