I don't even have flash installed. Battlelog goes "oi, you NEED flash!". I click the cross on the message and carry on. Fuck knows what they use flash for, but it seems to be SERIOUSLY irrelevant.

To be honest, even before CSS3 and other awesome HTML tags to go with it... there was Javascript.
Flash has had such limited application for a very long time now (basically only for video or advanced animation), yet people keep using it where they shouldn't. (advanced animation is often a poor choice from a design and/or SEO perspective, basically just leaving video).

The only thing it should be used for these days is ip 'protection'.
(that's intellectual property, not internet protocol).

I'm sorry, I wasn't aware that adblock can interfiddle with youtubefiles.

I run adblockplus, never leave home without it. That doesn't stop a video ad from playing before your video (in the player itself, with a little skip button that shows up after the first 5 seconds of vid), or those little popup ads that overlay your video when you hit the little yellow marker in the timeline (seekbar).

Sure I can block out every other ad that appears on the page, but I don't particularly want to block the video I'm trying to watch.

I watch quite a bit of youtube and have yet to see an advertisement play before a video. The player isn't the video file itself. It calls the advertisement and the videos files separately, thus how you can easily snatch the video itself using a sniffer like orbit.

Blocks all youtube video advertisements. It does not block out the whole video either. Adblock plus is no where near as effective as I use adblock plus at work since we don't use chrome.

More sieve components arrived today. Nice wee pocket sieve set for a high-powered academic researcher. Well, frankly, I care. I care because it should be an option for everyone to experience a period of idleness without feeling the collective guilt of society weighing down on you. Oh yes, the sieves, need cleaning in an ultrasound bath.

Better go and turn the lasersizer off and get some more water together. Need water for a run of 120 samples for next week. Uses more than you'd think. mind you, for what you get out of it, it really is competitively-priced, especially when one considers that the previous old school method involved a twelve hour day and limited sample runs and tedious reproducibility; compared with five minutes per sample run and easy reproducibility. Makes it all a whole lot better, more attractive and professional, with room for external contracts. Should be though. It cost an arm and a leg!
