You do realise there is more than just linwood and aranui on the east side of the city right, hahahahah.I know the whole CBD is a independant action to the EQC and the residential rebuild. But it still amazes me how much quicker that shit is getting fixed on that side of the fence.EQC as a agency has failed horribly for the Chch residential consumer. Their problems are only just begining, the lawsuits will be next. I will be going them for $$$ when I finally get resolution.
Better than sitting in an Info-systems lecture learning about the magic of NETWORKS. Wow.
Wanna go phishing?
Absolutely, I was espousing a cynical view in jest (I thought it was well established that I'm a relatively empathetic chap). RE: EQC's continual failures - yes I totally support your sentiment, and despite as BH mentioned; the mitigating factors of damage, these should not affect how EQC operates. But I think a touch of realism needs to be applied here though, it's simply beyond reasonable expectation that any organisation could handle an event of this magnitude (excuse this punnily apt word), in a manner we don't even expect from our bigger/busier bureaucracies (IRD etc). Shit happens, and New Zealand simply isn't equipped to deal with things like this (even if we should be, the resources simply do not exist) - add to this the general cronyism that infects all Christhchurch affairs and you have a recipe for the shit sandwich we're all biting.
I think EQC have done really well considering they were a tiny outfit before chch.
