They had no payload to speak of.

Anyone have experience migrating outlook pop3 clients to google apps? Looking at migrating friends business emails to apps as their current host is a cpanel pos using pop3

Shand Cres reserve is dodgy [read: impoverished] as fuck, and so too are the streets that surround it [on the southside of Ricc rd]. While I'm not saying we shouldn't have the freedom to walk through a public space at anytime without fear of crime, people ought to be realistic.

Crimes like this occur a lot more often on weekends because there's a) more people out & about b) more drunks.

You needn't have grown up in the hood to realise this, and while I pity the victim I do think he was a bit negligent toward his own well-being by walking through Shand Cres at that time, on that day.

Cpanel email is easy and very robust bru, why would they need to move it?

Hopefully they have a copy of the emails on the server still (depending on the pop setup) and you can just chuck in the mailserver and login details and it will DL all the old emails.

Nah the pop3 is about 1 gig of downloaded, was with telecom then moved to this cpanel host.

Not sure if changing to imap would reverse sync the emails, pretty sure I read that cpanel wouldn't reverse sync imap.

The pop3 is set to download and delete from server, think the server wouldn't handle the reverse very well :S

Yeah I doubt it would copy all of the emails if it was changed to Imap. I like to keep a copy on the server and locally, I've moved a few nameservers around and had all kinds of dramatic email fuckups.
Sometimes the easiest way is just to lump it and download the gig of emails (or try to delete a heap of unwanted ones, then DL the lot).

Someone here would know how to populate a cpanel email with an outlook backup but it's well outside my funzone.

As a rule I try to keep a copy on the server and locally, I only use webservers with plenty of space to handle it. You can set a limit on the account with a warning to empty if you need to.

Yeah google apps provides a utility you install onto outlook that syncs your pst files up to google servers and gets imap kicked ahead.

I'd only need to get the google apps stuff setup in cpanel to redirect properly.

What's happening here?
I thought you said moving from pop to Gapps...
Google apps isn't imap. It's Google apps. It has an imap connnector, but that's different.

As you just said, there's a sync tool specifically for outlook migrations.
Install it, it uploads all the emails in outlook to Gapps.
???
Profit.

As POP downloads all email to the computer locally though, the easiest solution is to just leave it there. Start fresh on Gapps, have local outlook account for reference and back-log, never actually used again to send mail though.

We were on exchange when we migrated our office, but similar deal. Pain was just too much in the end, some people got through the migration as test subjects, the rest of the firm had to just fucking deal with it /boss-sunglasses

Our country is awesome. It's easy to list out just the bad facts for any country.

Cannabis use
I don't see this as a problem. In fact some people would see this as a good thing.

Melanoma Rates
Because the rest of the world sent thier CFC's down here and killed our ozone.

Car ownership – 720 per 1000 people, even more than the USA’s 675 per 1000 (2005)
So what, we can afford more cars?

Loss of electrical power between source and destination
This is becase our energy is made down south, and most of the people are up north. It's a simple fact of our geology.

Imports of brown coal (lignite) per capita
So what? Means nothing when not in contex.

 Immigration foreign population
Good thing imo

Personal income tax
And we have state provided medical care, which other countries, like the US, don't.

I download this report from the Ministry of Businesss, it's awesome. It shows on a quaterly bases Production, Imports and Exports for coal. Broken down further into Bituminous, Sub-bituminous and Lignite. It also shows how much is used for Electricity, Transport etc

http://www.med.govt.nz/sectors-industries/energy/energy-modelling/data/coal

It also shows in 2011 we only imported 20 tonnes of Lignite,  0.01% of our total coal imports.

And our total coal imports are 8% of our exports.

Lignite has very low enegy and it is not worth it to transport it over long distances. So it wouldn't surprise me that a tiny amount of 20 tonnes would put us 3rd in the world for importing it, since no one else would bother importing it. It's just a good example of how people can takes stats out of context to make them sound far worse then they really are.
