I think both have merits. We're OMNIvores. Not Carnivores, not Herbavores.
Just eat a healthy BALANCED diet.

I know people doing vege only diets. Lose heaps of weight (as per first vid).
I know people doing no carbs diets. Lose heaps of weight (as per second vid).

The real root of the issue I think lies in a few things:
Serving sizes.
Processed foods.
Sugar.
No exercise.
Wrong balance (TOO MUCH FATTY CAKE AND CHOCOLATE AND NO FRESH FOODS).

I think the issue lies more in people not learning to cook, marketing and availability of fast foods. Too much of one thing and not enough of others to balance.

I did basic data entry for the Ministry of Social Development for a 6 months when I was 18.

It's money. It's not hard, but the environment is a bit shit. Typical slackers, rugby heads, self righteous team managers on power trips etc. It's like high-school all over again with social cliques. It's fine if you just ignore everyone and do your job.
