I want to get a little logo machined for branding into wood for my art. Only need it to be like 20-30mm wide, would be like 10mm tall. I presume steel or similar so I can get the fooker hot for burning.

Go down to an engineering workshop, and see if they will do it for a small fee on their mill.

Or get a block of steel to your requirements , get a die grinder and do it freehand, it will add to the artzy feel

if you're in auckland, Redwood engineering is very good. they make make the front panels for our amps. Very reasonable price, and they make stuff for the movies too!! THEY MADE GUNS LIKE OMG THEY ACTUALYL WORK!

but yer, engineering workshops are the go.  all it really is i think is that they put it in a cnc machine, and weld a rod onto it so you can hold it :/ pretty basic. only the time on the machien costs.

CNC might be cheaper. I would charge around $80 prolly.
