After this "creative" gig is over, I shalt not return to client based work, not in Aus/Nz anyway.

It's not too bad here in Brunei. They like most of what I do and treat me like a professional. I feel like I can say "no" if they ask for changes based on their opinions because they respect my track record and experience, it's quite liberating and my work has improved. It's all I ask for. Oh and being paid, that's always nice.

If Aus/Nz clients would just let pro's do their thing and keep their stupid ideas to themselves, perhaps a brother could enjoy their work a little.

Working for a corporate as a designer is so much better than working by hopping from client to client. I've built up very good report with marketing and they now rely on me to direct them on brand protocol.

In my position I have learnt a lot because of the corporate environment I work in and the the vast amount of people I work with from day to day actually do see me as the professional and take my word for it. Even the big dogs see you as someone with the answer and you get to work on a massive array of projects. Pitched some concepts to a marketing strategist during the week for a creative DM project that required a pretty unique packaging design who has been a brand strategist for a pretty well known telco and a giant electrical company and he listened to me and understood what I had to say (as well as choosing my concepts amongst a group of designers that all pitched their work).

I'm not going to justify what either party did in that case cause I simply don't know the details.

But looking at how those guys were riding, and the sheer number of them. I'd assume the rover driver made an honest mistake and a biker took offence. If I'd been that guy, I would have pulled over and stopped. Not specifically because they're bikers, but because they're obviously dick heads looking to cause trouble.
