Buy your bacon from Traiteurs. Delectable dry cured bacons of several varieties.

I can't recall exact price, but it's around $25 a kilo. I usually buy about 700 grams thin sliced of streaky or middle. It cooks in a minute and 5 people get 3 brunches out of that, whereas we'll kill a $10 supermarket bacon pack in a feed. We also sometimes chop it over potatoes or into salads and pasta dishes. It's easily the best value meat we buy.

Oh, and it also lasts forever in the fridge. They wrap it in greaseproof and put it in a paperbag. I've found missing rashers at the back of the fridge after more than a fortnight, and they've fried up beautifully.

tl;dr - Woohoos top food tip: Buy good quality, dry cured bacon, you'll never go back.

Noice good Doctor.
Thanks for the tip.

Unfortunately I can only offer decent vegetarian-catering establishments and the Opawa butcher, who sells organic and damn tasty meat.

The best meat I had I killed and ate a week later. It was on an organic farm in the Hakataramea Valley when I was on work experience.
Eye-opening and sobering and delicious!

Traiteurs do have beautiful meat, on the pricey side, but it is very very good quality.

Never ever buy bacon is a vacuum pack, always free flow.

Got back from a day blazing at the beach, bbq sun and chicks, hells yeah.

Although I'm in a pickle.

Long story short, was at work supervising checkouts when I had to jump on cause a manager took one of my c/o operators to recover the store, it got busy so I jumped on with the remaining chick c/o worker.

Lady came through, bought shit with her boyfriend, went off. Came storming back, slammed a clothing hard tag pin on my checkout and yelled at me "i just stood on this on your fucking floor", insinuating that it was my fault, and that I was flirting with the chick infront of me, and that somehow set off a chain of events which lead to her standing on said pin.

My 'boss' went behind my back and talked to the operators, then rang me tonight having the audacity to ask me to work extra nights instead of talking to me abuot this incident. I'm going in to see her tomorrow.

And yes, I'm a little mad. Am I in the right or wrong? Is the claim baseless, considering she wasn't lokoing where she was going? All I can think of is that she was eavesdropping and not concentrating on where she qwas walking, leading to her standing on the pin.

Were the extra shifts given to you as a disciplinary action?

To be honest, I get pretty pissed off with the chatty attitudes that checkout operators take in front of me when paying for my groceries, "Oh, Steve, did you go to Emmas party last night, it was awesome". Not saying it's what you were doing by any means but I can understand a customer getting upset about it and a superior wanting to make sure it doesn't happen again.

As for standing on something, stupid slag should of been watching where she was going, you could of been talking directly to her during her checkout time and she still would of ended up standing on the object regardless.

Did your fellow operators dob you in for neglecting to read the future and warning the she-beast that she would stand on something?

D don't sweep no floors.

Bro, I reckon that if a schoolgirl can get in the news for being having the word slut used around her, you could get in the news for being sworn at for no reason.
Call it a "Case of the deteriation of New Zealanders manners, are we really that friendly a nation as we think?"
Link the mouthy bitch in the supermarket as a sign of deteriating trends; all rage and no reason, and how this impacts our tourist industry, NZ's number one export.
Betcha make the stuff front page.

On the other hand, you should have ignored the woman completely, looked her boyfriend straight in they eye while she ranted on, and calmly asked him to get control of the situation.
And if she gets madder, just turn around and slightly raise your voice to say: "this is why you're not supposed to leave the kitchen".

Alternatively to avoid a bigger fiasco, you should have told her to use her inside voice, and that verbal abuse is not any way to address any situation.
Additionally, you could have gone for a sly insult with "weren't you taught any manners as a child?"

Remember: the calmer you stay, the madder she gets.

SOMAD.

I just went the supermarket.
Bought a loaf of bread for $3000.20
It doesn't even taste that good.
FML.

We make casual convo sure, but both myself and my operators know that it ain't fly to talk over customers, shit is just rude.

Nah, to me it sounded like she was trying to butter me up to get me to do the shifts, then smash me with the complaint. The floors had just been swept though, so she must have been super unlucky.

The chick who stood on the pin laid the complaint lol. I mean really? For a fucking pin on the ground?

I know that it should be 'have'. It's just become habit to use 'of'.

A habit that must be broken.

The best thing about Finance Minister Bill English\'s latest Budget is that it does finally signal a much greater role for the private sector in the New Zealand economy. And another step along the way to extract this country from the political cul-de-sac in which Helen Clark\'s Labour Government parked us.

Was the customer wearing shoes?

If not, fuck her.

Shouldnt you be asking if she was wearing underwear? They are more of a problem than a pair of shoes when trying to fuck someone, unless you get a heel up the bum, then thats totally different.
