Quote from: Spork;1333697I have an irishman inside me....fixed :3And yeah mainly English/Scottish here with some convict and whaling captain. Not that being either of the first two prevents you from being either or both of the last two And Pyro you are most correct, when not on top of your game/under the weather shit hits you so much harder. Also someone said on Facebook you can get bacon flavoured vodka. I think if there was anything that was going to kill me that would be it so I shall stay away from it.

Your boss cannot afford to have his employees thinking they can reply like that to customers. There really is no reason to deviate from constantly professional emails. If you had a problem with his behaviour you should have emailed his bosses and made an official complaint.Quote from: vedds;1333681I think Fairy said she'd emailed the rep in her own company, rather than the customer. But yes Fairy, regardless of whether the email was internal or external your manager has a duty to the shareholders of the business to pull you up on that email. Down the track if you or even another employee were disciplined/fired for abusive communication or actions, that email could come back to haunt the company as tolerating abuse in the workplace if they havent acted on it. But yeah i hate it when people wont take responsibility for their fuckups and just palm it off onto someone else.I think you both skipped over the point Fairy was trying to make.Quote from: th3fairy;1333457i can understand being reprimanded for having the word fuck in my email, however this apparently wasnt the reason why. I dont see why i need to apologise and i dont have any intentions of apologising. The email was not abusive to the guy. It was just explaining what his actions had put her through.IMO if you're made to apologise Fairy, then he should also have to apologise to you, for putting you through that. Though his (in)actions he's subjecting you to abuse.

Wasn't only talking about the fuck part. Addressing the issue with a direct email and the tone of the email are both unnecessary. Is the guy abusing her wrong? HELL YES but that doesn't change Fairy's responsibility as a representative of her company. When dealing with abusive customers there is no denying, that in most circumstances, you should just keep quiet and take the abuse. You gain nothing from reacting and you have the potential to lose everything
