We came off the Auck - San Fran flight and gave our baggage over to the airline we were then taking a connecting flight to Seattle with. Our bags never turned up. They have offered to pay for 1 outfit of clothing. 90% of my wardrobe was in those bags.

Seattle is incredible. It's pitch black at 4:30pm, I love it.

Waiting for my laptop to arrive so I can upload photos from the Zoo. I saw a fucken brown bear. Fucken monstrous.

My boards went missing from SA to Hong Kong and my insurance company said to chase the airline...
They turned up and actually saved me having to store them for two weeks. Win.

Depends on the policy.

Travel insurance is specifically for this kind of occasion and should cover it, but it still pays to check the policy beforehand.

Mine cost me $200 and covered me up to some rediculious sum of stuff in all kinds of different categories.
Including lost luggage, health, flight issues, etc.
