I think it's a travesty that the country that promotes itself as the defender of freedom and liberty, where all are, Constitutionally, equal, and can spend Trillions of dollars on waging wars can't look after its own.

I am well aware that the U.S.A.is not the only country with homeless and I think it is a sad and telling fact of (so-called) humanity that we (collectively/tacitly) allow this to happen.

Seattle is very far removed from the rest of the USA. Not many overweight people here, probably on par with NZ.

I'm not a coffee drinker so I have no point of reference for what is good and what is bad coffee.

no. AAC is the current adopted standard in the MPEG container. Nothing to do with Apple. Apple just popularised it (a good thing they did). .m4a, .acc = the same thing, different file extension. AAC is a much better codec in technical terms than mp3.
