Divx and xvid were good back in their day, but x264 RAPES them. A 350mb x264 encoded video is higher quality than a 500-700mb xvid or divx video easily. If you're burning them to a dvd you can transcode x264 back to mpeg2 anyway and get a much nicer result.

I burn to watch there and then and then trash em. I don't horde my movies.

A lot longer as it's a far more complicated encoder. 1500mb xvid is still worse than a 1000mb x264

If my DVD player would play x.264 I would download them, but it doesn't as far as im aware, even with hacked frimware on it.

You mean native support? I thought you were transcoding them onto dvd's? Or are you just burning the file to play that way?

yeah, I download divx, burn the divx to a rw, play on TV, and chances are 99.99% of the time that movie will get trashed after watching.

My DVD player on my TV plays Divx natively.

It's quite easy really. The 'majority' of streets are essentially N/S, E/W with the Port Hills essentially South.
Once you're at the airport it's a short walk to the Square (basically just across Hagley Park) and then all you need is in the suburban shopping centres. The beach is good at this time of year, with the Easterly mostly non-existent and replaced by the beautiful, brooding, warm Nor'Wester which means that everyone is happy and willing to help strangers.

If you're looking for food there is apparently a really good (best in the Universe according to Wikipedia) Ethnic food shop in Hornby Mall.
If you're driving, don't indicate, do change lanes at will and disregard any signs about speed.
