Does anyone know of a cheap safe way to dechlorinate our water im sick of the smell and taste of it, it smells !@# when boiling food and cups of coffee/tea seem to taste a hell of a lot inferior to what they used to taste like :mad:!@$%.

Well the good news is it is only temporary.

As for removing the taste, prob the old boil and cath the steam would work. A spirits brewing kit would work nicely for it.

also exisitng policies can be transfered in some cases at the moment. (eg you buy my house, my house insurance would be transfered to you untill eqc repairs finished etc)

You won't be able to buy a house without insurance anyway codex, the bank will not settle the final payment without it. Really it comes down to the previous owner, lims and pims etc, and if there is any current EQ damage to the home.

No, that's what happens when they DON'T chlorinate it.

Cheap way to dechlorinate: get water from the west side. Water is much cleaner, doesn't smell like swimming pool when you're in the shower. I'm ferrying water in my reserve tanks from my old flat to my new flat. It was a win idea, as I noticed for the first time that my shower smells like a swimming pool this morning. Obviously water at old flat is pretty fine, but at new flat it's not. Therefore I come to the conclusion at the beginning of this tl;dr paragraph. While it might be safe to drink, it ruins the flavour of a good cup of tea, and we just can't have that.





In other news; still no internet at new flat.
Just found out I can tether my phone, I just need the USB cable.

the 5.3 last night doesnt give me much faith in it getting better any time soon.

Im going to try bringing it a boil in a jug then leave it in a large pot over night to hopefully reduce the amount of chlorine, I haven't got the right moon shine gear to go the other route:cool:.

We keep a 1 litre carafe in the fridge. The chlorine definitely seems to lessen over time and having it chilled also minimises the flavour
