I've embarked on a journey to obtain a working Visa for the US (H1B), turns out because I have a specialized skill, and that this skill is represented via a Bachelors Degree, I'm eligible for it (3 years non-immagrant status).

Me and the Mrs. are engaged but don't want to half arse it in order to grant me a green card once in the States (we want to plan it properly once there). So I have to enter the green card lottery, which can take effing years, or find work in the US while here in NZ that will petition my H1B application.

So I came in from the surf today, it was raining and gloomy but the waves were super good and nobody else was in the water (which I like).

I went to put my board down near the dunes and what I thought breifly was a wet deranged dog launched out of the bushes at me.
It was a small seal! Scared the otter fuck out of me! I nearly biffed it with my board lol.

I backed away and it waddled and dragged down back into the water.

Never thought I'd almost club a baby seal. Weirdest thing ever.
