Font and Typeface geeks.

I'm about to convert my entire ebook collection to mobi so it's entirely compatible with kindle on my tablet.

I have to pick a font (if I don't it uses some sort of default data style font which is a bit gross to look at - cool when reading scifi though)

what's a nice font to use? I gather most books are written in serif? any advances?

anyone got a better suggestion for my ebook format?

More importantly is not going for around 12 words a line and spacing that is easy to go to the next line without losing your place.
