Went outside to move car because earthquake shit happening in carpark tomorrow.
Car has not had warrant or rego in almost a year. Hasn't moved in about as long... doors stuck shut, spider webs on drivers seat and plants growing out of bonnet... year old stale petrol, not expecting this to go well.
Last time I checked on it was about 4 months ago when I removed battery to charge it in attempt to put it back on the road. Ran out of money, battery still in hallway, gone flat again.
Landlord advises me at lunch time today that I have to move it for 9am tomorrow when they start drilling. Cool I think, should be time to get enough of a charge to move it around the corner.

I can't even begin to try to start the car on stale petrol :<
I discover, after putting battery back in it at 10:30pm, that some fuckwit has got into it at some point in the last 4 months and taken my ignition switch in an ill fated attempt to steal the vehicle via hotwire - obviously had no fucking clue what they were up to, after getting into the car without a mark they've destroyed half the dash (and taken it all with them). Clipped a bunch of wires and can see where they've tried joining two together in effort to start car. This is not how one starts a vehicle without a key - maybe they got mad because it wasn't starting and thought the key switch was fucked or something... dick move, can has no battery numbnuts, even if it did I'd be flat as hell after a year. And if not, you'd probably run it flat turning it over waiting for the shitty stale petrol to ignite. DERP DERP DERP DERP DERP.

Bright side; they also removed the steering lock so I could push it without needing to turn the key. Pity the brakes were almost seized on :<
