You should replace all your hose clamps with the type you have used already, the factory ones are shit and loose their tension, had a car cook on me because of this.

Yeah next pay i'll be replacing the rest of the turbo coolant lines and clips, unfortunately I can't get to a lot of them under intake etc but they aren't showing any signs of weakness like the turbo coolant lines were (except white powder forming on outside, not sure what causes this, seems to have not come back after I changed what I have and changed coolant plus cleaned off the powder)

This man speaks wise words, the tension clips are crap - jubilee ftw.

Got to the bottom of my recent coolant issues - appears I can trace it back to changing the radiator cap last Dec. The one repco supplied was 1.1 bar (factory is 0.9), and the thing failed - wouldn't open under pressure - end result was cracked the header tank (replaced), cascaded to the thermostat housing (replaced), and a couple of other hoses that fatigued under the load. Not happy with Repco, but you deal with muppets, you get soft cuddly toys. Just got back from a week of skiing with the kids - up & down the hill every day without any issue - now happy.

Jubilee hose clamps?

I shall be replacing the rest of that line and the hose clamps this weekend hopefully, also bought a new strut brace (because it's prettier >_> will paint up the current one and sell off ;D)

Had something unusual, boost controller needs a clean out it seems. Was overtaking, hit second stage turbo and it completely lagged then overboosted causing a CEL (66, sequential turbo)

Pulled over, restarted engine after checking vacuum lines all intact etc and hasn't happened again since, put it down to the car being really overloaded and having to work a shit load harder to move along lol. Will grab some compressed air and clean out the BBOD next weekend hopefully

I'd run an upper engine cleaner first, get the subaru upper engine cleaner from dealer, it's only around 13 dollars and works really really well.

Bikes in the shop getting a stripped bolt helicoiled, coolant system checked out (it was boiling over on the weekend), new grips, and new fork seals, I'd do it myself but I just don't have the time to do it.

Sounds like would be fun to rip into xD clogged rad or hosing? If the hosing is stock and unshielded around head it could be falling apart on the inside like mine was

it's only 4 years old, just over a year since rebuilt so I doubt it.

I think it's an air lock, or my radiator cap, or a blown head gasket, in that order.

on track it stayed at 75-77 deg cel, then because they dont run a cool down lap (it's retarded - I know) the engine jumps up to 95 by the time I get to pits.

here's what they do (knowledge of ruapuna may be required)

race finishes and the red flag is waved and they stop bikes at the hairpin, the winner doesn't even make the first corner before the red flags come out.

bikes accumulate at the hairpin and they wait until the track is cleared up to the dipper, then they let the bikes around the wee corner beside the hairpin.

So I thrash the tits off my engine trying to come first, I do 1/4 of a lap at 90% pace (any slower is dangerous) then my engine sits while I wait for the really slow cunts to get from the hairpin to the dipper, then I get another 1/4 of a track at whatever pace I decide (usually 60 or 70kph with the clutch held in) and then I get in to pits and it boils over.

in the time from the race finishing to hauling up in pits my engine has jumped up to 95 deg cel (indicated, the fluid will be hotter than that)

It's a special non-glycolanoloanolocolanol (slippery shit) premix for race bikes.

It's really pink!
