Game sounds semi decent for once. How does it play graphically? Going off the age of the game it should run off an oily rag....

I'm running an old CF 5850 setup and stock i5 750 (4gb 1600 ram) and it's not great.
lucky to get 50 frames @1920 x 1080 graphics on normal...

Also the server/game bugs out and I'll get a constant 15fps until I restart :/

Might overclock this old girl again and see if it can get a lil more. It needs a high end rig for sure.

I might have to go try and learn to fly those choppers, I remember trying in ArmaII and thinking it was too hard to be worth it.

Where do you get all your meat? I can never find animals when i have the masterchef combo ready to go. Well i do find rabbits. but with an ak74/m1911, they are a waste of ammo imo.

Sheep and cows and the odd goat, they are usually way out in the open in a field.

Dude, I did the chopper tutorial and swapped all the dumnuts controls over to BF2 and it's easy as to fly

ok so i struggled my way through installing it, and it seems to work. Throws up a few random error messages in game, but once you join server seems playable. I ended up using the updater program, and i think i went to 1.7. Will that give me issues when playing with 1.6?

Yup, wont be able to play on 1.6.0.1 servers with the 1.7 files - but its a simple case of downloading the 1.6.0.1 code file and overwriting the 1.7 one. Easy!

I have my i5 750 cranked to 3.5ghz with 4gb @ 2000mhz and a 6950 2gb @ 900/1300, and I usually get a constant 60 frames, sometimes more @1920 x 1080 with everything high, except post processing and antialiasing down at the middle setting(I think it's very high on the middle setting)

But I do agree about the server and game bugs, it then drops down to around a constant 20 or so

For anyone that upgraded to 1.7 code by mistake, i've uploaded the 1.6 file here.
I know some people have said "Go to old files" but i've never found what they were talking about, on the Dayz website.

@ osiRiS  , Did you personally disable vehicles or has that been done by rocket / game devs? any info?

One question, Is there a chat that allows me to talk to people near by, off mic, without telling the whole entire server what i'm doing.

and does direct chat off mic mean that someone is near by?

Emrico, when the team speak server went down tonight and I was on, and you started using in game mic, were you anywhere near North of balota, or atleast somewhere around there?

I haven't disabled anything it's at regs decision to manually update the db to add them to the game, to give you an example nz1 has and Id of 210+ and nz8 has an I'd of 350+ , there are a lot of servers around now.

I also read it was also coming in a patch but that might be weeks away now.

Err, Just installed all the shit - Used the DayZUpdater; Seems I'm now at 1.7

Anyway to easily downgrade?

or will we be updating the servers to 1.7 anytime soon?

Grab the file in kaynes post about 4 up and paste over files. 1.7 won't go up until rocket gets back and pushes it out completely.

OMG obble that M240 was amazingly wicked, just looks so beast when you run around with it, and that zombie masacre in the barracks was insane I really should have screenied the pile of corpses we all made.

Cannot wait til they fix the inventory woes, lost two good weapons last night along with badly needed knife and matches, need to always scroll choose. Also seems you can't store items in bags if they get opened by someone else, creates a black hole.
